Couponing Tip: Learn the Lingo 

Are you confused by all the abbreviations & coupon jargon? Hopefully this list will help you out!

Sunday Coupon Inserts:

P&G = Procter & Gamble
RP = Red Plum
SS = SmartSource
GM - General Mills
UL - Unilever

When I list a deal that says “Use Brand X coupon from SS 8/28" that means to use the coupon from the SmartSource coupon insert found in the Sunday, August 28th newspaper.

Coupon Abbreviations & Terminology:

$1/2 – One dollar off two items
3/$2 – Three items for two dollars
BOGO or B1G1 – Buy one item get one item free
B2GO – Buy two items get one item free
Blinkie – Grocery or drugstore coupon dispensers in front of products
Cat - Catalina coupon which prints from a separate machine next to your receipt
ECB or EB – ExtraCare Bucks. CVS store rewards printed on your receipt to use on your next purchase
FAR – Free after rebate
IVC – Instant Value Coupon. Walgreens reward store coupons found in the Walgreens Monthly Coupon Booklet inside the store
MFR – Manufacturer
MIR – Mail-in rebate
OYNO – On your next order
OOP - Out of pocket
Peelie – Coupons on product packages that you peel off and use immediately
RR - Register Rewards. Walgreens coupons printed out at checkout for you to use on your next purchase
Q - Coupon
wyb - When you buy
