If you're new to couponing, or if you want to learn some tips, here is everything you need to know to shop like a coupon bomb at CVS!
CVS Card
First things first, you need a CVS card in order to get the sale prices at CVS.
If you don't have one, just ask for one at checkout. Don't leave home without it!
Extra Bucks (EBs)
Each week, CVS will offer Extra Bucks for purchasing certain items. You can use manufacturer coupons with EB offers to frequently get items for FREE or for Profit!
* EBs can be used like CASH on your next purchase. {No change is given back, though, so make sure you use the full value, otherwise you lose it!}
* There is usually a Limit of 1 EB offer per CVS Card. You can buy multiples of a product, but you will only get 1 EB.
* EBs can be used to purchase pretty much anything in the store. {A few exclusions do apply, like postage stamps, lottery tickets, etc - restrictions printed on the bottom of each EB}
* EBs will print at the bottom of your receipt. {If you buy several products that offer EBs, you will have a long receipt!}
* EBs have an expiration date, but some stores will even accept them past expiration! {just ask your cashier}
* You can combine EBs together to pay for your purchase {UNlike Walgreens, you don't need filler items} Consider EBs to be just like cash (without change back)!
* I like to roll my EBs from one week to the next to keep my out of pocket expenses as low as possible. {ex: earn $5 this week, use next week on a purchase that earns MORE EBs...}
* EBs are tied to your CVS card, so if you find someone else's EBs they left behind, you can't use them.
* Present your EBs to the cashier AFTER all coupons and before you pay.
Rain Checks
Rain Checks

If an item you wanted is out of stock, don't worry! Just ask for a Rain Check! CVS Rain checks are SO awesome because they:
* NEVER expire!
* Include Extra Bucks!
~ Give these to the cashier BEFORE they scan the product since it has to be manually entered.
Magic Coupon Machine

* Sometimes it prints coupons for FREE products!
* These Store Coupons CAN be stacked {used in conjunction with} with manufacturer coupons for even more savings!
* Scan your card at the beginning of every shopping trip to see what coupons you get
* Keep scanning your card each visit until it says "No more coupons available today" {Some people scan before and after they shop}
Green Bag Tag
Go Green and get PAID for it!

* Ask the cashier to scan your bag after they scan your CVS card. It MUST be scanned before coupons or it won't work. {Most cashiers will usually scan without you asking, but some forget}
* Receive coupons like $4 off $20 or $5 off $25! {You should receive a $4/$20 immediately after you register!}
* You can print these coupons out or have them sent to your CVS card!
* These CVS dollar-off coupons CAN be stacked with manufacturer coupons AND CVS store coupons AND Extra Bucks! {Many times, I have gotten items FREE or for Profit with these email coupons!}
* Give these to the cashier BEFORE manufacturer coupons to make sure you meet the $20 or $25 minimum purchase requirement.
